I.V.A CANE

The Intelligent Visual Aid Cane™ is equipped with two LiDAR sensors that detect and alert the user about upcoming cliffs/stairs as well as overhanging obstacles.

The upward-facing speaker is capable of providing the user with real-time walking directions via a mobile Bluetooth connection.

This is a title.

Designed from the ground up the cane is optimized for ergonomics, enabling extended periods of use. The universal pole slot allows for a variety of preexisting white canes to be used with the I.V.A CANE.

ROBUST.
ERGONOMIC.

Two linear actuators provide light tactile taps on the user's fingertips on both sides of the cane. One for the thumb and one for the pointer finger.

The LiDAR sensors are capable of detecting obstacles up to 7cm in diameter at a distance of 2 meters. Poles, railings and signs are easily detected given the high precision LiDAR technology.

Fast.

Precise.

The onboard MCU is capable of running communication frequencies of up to 400kbits/sec, equating to over 1000+ data points per second per sensor. This minimizes the delay between obstacle detection and haptic alerts, giving the user instant distance feedback.

SMART.

Supporting both Classic BT and BLE the cane is easily connected to the users device via Bluetooth. Through this connection live Navigation instructions can be accessed.
